Exterior
The "new house in Chicago" as Owen says, on Closing Day. Still a few
things left to be done on it.
New house with paved driveway and new lawn
Backyard. Property line from the stake in the center foreground.
Easily
three times the depth of our last house. Before deck.
After deck
View down the road. We thought some punks were marking up the streets.
We found out later it was the garbage trucks!

I tried to get Monty to sit on the stairs for size
reference but he refused to play along
First Floor
To the right of the front door is the library, still in progress. Another set
of doors for the bookcases, a leather recliner and reading lamp and table.
Yvonne would like to get a grandfather clock for this room as well.
Opposite is the dining room. Nothing planned here yet.
The family room / kitchen. We are currently looking for a proper kitchen table.
Finally! A decent sized kitchen. Dumped the original dishwasher with one that
actually had space in it, and was quieter.
Original oven and microwave. We added the under-counter lights.
Living room with the cheapo fireplace, which I never realized could actually be cheapo.
...finally.

Model Home
The following are pictures from the model. Only difference being our
walls are all pure white and we don't nearly have as much furniture. Nor
is ours as nice.
The so-called living room, off the front door. We'll be lining two
walls with bookcases and make it into a library.
The dining room. Door to kitchen at back
My office, off the family room. Currently cluttered with a bunch of computers and CDs.
